Surviving Lancaster Just Jane sits well in the company of all the trappings of an aviation museum in the heart of Bomber County, Lincolnshire. East Kirkby is the location of Just Jane, the museum being owned and run by the Panton brothers. Starting out as a low key affair, the Pantons one by one with a group of volunteer helpers, managed to get all four engines to run just as smoothly as the day they were built. The museum is in fact regularly open to the public throughout the summer months, and invites the public to stand so close to the engines as they are run up to a speed of 2,000 rpm. The experience is truly exhilarating and should not be missed.
