The print 'Two Boys - One Dream' was commissioned by a man who loved the image 'Morning Glory' so much he wanted to own the perfect canvas representing the image 'Morning Glory' nearly touched for him. Without any commercial exposure the image 'Two Boys - One Dream' pushed emotional buttons and is by far the best selling print to date.
The desire for dominant foreground detail was essential here as depth was important. It allowed the addition of the inquisitive boys to almost touch the massive Lancaster and assist in the intensity of the last light of the day through contrast of light to dark.
It was a pleasure to paint as it reinforced my appreciation of the value of the all too forgotten ground crew who made the sorties possible throughout the war.
