Fowey, Cornwall

Regular price £62.00

In 2001 my wife Carol and myself went to Cornwall for a short break. During the stay there we went to Fowey, a place we had never been to before. Having spent some short time taking a quick preliminary recce in the car we chanced upon a little car park and amazingly enough there was a parking space. As soon as we got out of the car I spotted this beautiful scene and was determined it should be caught on canvas. Unfortunately I didn't have a sketch pad with me but I did have a camera, and the appropriate shot was taken.
I loved the tatty old buildings on the left with the old tin roof. These are the things that fascinate me, dereliction, good old fashioned paraphernalia, things that haven't changed for years. Sometimes I change things a little like on the brown boat I added the little round porthole, the poor little boat was crying out for it!
