Loch Nell is one of Scotland's smaller lochs, close to Oban. The little boat could have been placed there specially for my painting.
I did take the liberty of enhancing the rough grass in the foreground to balance the heavy presence of tree foliage. Notice the subtle cottages in the background on the edge of the loch? They are not really there but adding them adds a little bit of interest and gives me the opportunity to add very faint reflections in the water.
